Pursuant to Standing Order No. 2020-5, issued on March 16, 2020, by the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, “[a]ll in-person . . . bankruptcy proceedings on or before March 31, 2020, are CONTINUED and will be rescheduled at a later date, unless a presiding judge in an individual case issues an order after the date of [the March 16, 2020] Order directing that a particular proceeding will be held on or before March 31, 2020.”
Judge Connelly is currently approving orders for matters set for the March 26, 2020 calendar in Lynchburg. Any matters which remain on Judge Connelly’s hearing calendar on Thursday, March 26, 2020, in Lynchburg, because they have not been continued, rescheduled, resolved, or terminated by separate order or docket entry, will be continued by docket entry to April 30, 2020, at the same time as the matter was originally scheduled, UNLESS Judge Connelly has determined, by order, that a particular matter shall proceed on Thursday March 26 by telephonic hearing. Judge Connelly will issue separate orders in any case in which she determines it is appropriate to hear the matter on March 26 by telephonic hearing, and will issue the telephonic hearing instructions by order in that particular case.
