HOW TO BE ADMITTED
TO PRACTICE
(Guidelines for Practicing Before the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia)
Application and Procedure for Admittance to Practice in USBC - Western District of Virginia A) Attorneys who are presently a member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar and the Bar of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia may be admitted to practice in this Court by submitting: (1) a Certificate of Good Standing from the Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia; and (2) Form 2090-1B, “Certification of Member in Good Standing”, and (3) Full Participant Registration form; OR B) Submit (1) Form 2090-1A endorsed by a current member of the Bar of this Court, along with a cover letter which provides contact information for the attorney seeking admission (email address and/or phone number) as well as a preference of hearing location for appearance in open court, and (2) a Full Participant Registration form. After admission, you must attend CM/ECF training or certify that you have previously received training in another bankruptcy court or that you currently file electronically in the Eastern District of Virginia Bankruptcy Court. All original paperwork should be forwarded to the attention of Leisa Matherly at the Roanoke divisional office prior to submitting a request in PACER.
